Tickets are $50 per person and include hosted food, wine and beer and priceless entertainment.   Tickets will be $60 at the door.

This year we highlight our Silent Auction which will benefit the Coronado Public Library and fund the new Susan Stark Scholarship.

Susan Stark was a Volunteer for Second Hand Prose from 2008 until her death in September 2015.    She was a role model for anyone who was interested in donating time to a worthy cause. She was an exceptional individual who was a traveler, which her TWA flight attendant position complemented; an individual who loved her family, a concept to which her parents‐ Capt. William and Mrs. Shirley- can attest; an avid reader who found joy in working with the books that surrounded her in the Second Hand Prose shop;  and an art lover whose extensive collection has been donated to the
Friends of the Coronado Library. Susan’s Treasures, art and collectable items, will be featured at the Silent Auction with the proceeds establishing a scholarship to be annually awarded to a graduating senior whose love of travel, art, family, and reading parallels that of Susan Stark.

Each year the Friends of the Coronado Public Library contributes more than $50,000 to support a variety of programs and activities for children, teens and adults.   The programs promote the use of the library and personal enrichment in musical programs, lectures, movies, exhibits and preservation of Coronado’s heritage.  The Friends funded the acquisition of the Alfredo Ramos Martinez “Canasta de Flores” mural, and the Steinway piano in the Winn Room.   The Friends of the Coronado Public Library is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting library programs and activities that provide learning opportunities for the community.
